Every year the museum organizes more than 70 mass arrangements: thematic evenings, lessons of courage, meetings, Days of memory, Days of the museum, historical-local quizzes and many others.

Especially popular some museum holidays “Change of Glory”, “Day of Historical Boulevard” and the festival of military-historical clubs.

The museum holiday “Change of Glory” is held since 1999 on Sapun Mount and it is dedicated to the Sevastopol defence against fascist invaders in May 1944. During the holiday you will see the ceremonial of memory near the eternal flame with the battle banner from the museum storage. You can also see the theatrical performance “Episode of Sapun Mount’s Assault on May 7, 1944”. Members of the club “World War ΙΙ” together with military men of Russian and Ukrainian Black Sea Fleet take part in this performance.

The museum holiday “Day of Historical Boulevard” is held since 1990 and it is dedicated to the Day of the City. It includes exhibition, military-historical, competitive, childish, concert, entertaining programmes. Exhibits from the museum storage, the parade of people in the uniform of previous centuries, the performance of creative groups and theatrical performance attract thousands of people in the Day of the City on Historical Boulevard.

The international festival of Ukrainian and Russian military-historical clubs is held in Sevastopol since 1994 on the eve of the Day of the City in June. More than 100 participants take part in this festival. Its organizers are the Museum of the Heroic Defence of Sevastopol and Sevastopol Association of the Military-Historical Clubs. The main arrangements of the festival are the parade along the central city circle, presentation of the clubs on the holiday “Day of Historical Boulevard”, the theatrical performance “Under the peal of sword”, “Battle episode for the 4th bastion 1855”. We invite military-historical clubs to take part in the annual festival.
